Jo Handelsman is currently a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Professor and a Professor in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at Yale University. Handelsman previously served on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she co-founded the Women in Science and Engineering Leadership Institute, and developed a mentoring course and accompanying book that are used to teach mentoring at more than 160 universities in the United States.
