PAESMEM.net, the online website for communication and collaboration among alumni of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM) and anyone interesting in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) mentoring, has a new look and enhanced functionality. The redesigned website launched in March to expand membership in the STEM mentoring community, share research and highlight successful mentoring practices in STEM disciplines.
The new look-and-feel incorporates patriotic blue and the color palette of the PAESMEM logo. The website’s open source, customized platform supports state-of-the-art website tools, designed to promote collaboration and sharing. Upgrades include:
- A news-at-a-glance feature that provides an overview of STEM events, news and social media activity on the website’s home page.
- An easy-to-use “Nominate a Mentor” button to facilitate the PAESMEM nomination process; and
- An enhanced user profile system that allows PAESMEM alumni to update their biographical and contact information themselves, while automatically adding their social media profiles and interest preferences to their profiles, to help facilitate networking within the PAESMEM community. (Register now to update your profile and sign up to receive the PAESMEM quarterly newsletter, Connections.)
Feel free to share the PAESMEM.net address with colleagues who are interested in STEM mentoring and the PAESMEM award.
