Conference Focus: The conference will leverage the knowledge of multiple stakeholders and organizations to significantly advance the participation and success of Hispanics in STEM fields, developing recommendations that can be tailored for all underrepresented groups. We will convene thought leaders, educators at multiple levels and types of educational institutions researchers from the social sciences and different STEM fields, industry representatives, community leaders, and professional societies and draw on evidence-based knowledge across multiple fields and types of institutions to determine whether strategies identified can yield large-scale progress toward INCLUDES goals. Key objectives are (1) to collect data and literature that can inform the conference participants; (2) to involve the appropriate collective impact organizations and stakeholders; (3) to align conference topics with the essential components of the INCLUDES backbone infrastructure and the conference goal of informing collective impact alliances; and (4) to document and disseminate the conference results and actions.
