2017 STEM Mentors Alumni Event
The 2017 STEM Mentors Alumni Event, April 5-7, in Washington, D.C. is approaching. The planning committee, chaired by Dr. Joseph Skrivanek, professor of chemistry at State University of New York at Purchase and founder and director of the Baccalaureate and Beyond Program (PAESMEM Organizational 2009), has been meeting monthly to develop the agenda for the event. All PAESMEM alumni and other honorary STEM mentors are invited to participate in the planning. Meetings are held virtually via WebEx.
The event, titled, STEM Mentoring 2030: Emerging Strategies for Inclusive STEM Education capitalizes on recommendations from the 2016 event with the goal of developing action plans.
All documents developed to date from the planning committee meetings are available for review on the PAESMEM Community Google Drive. Email alerts related to the STEM Mentors Alumni Event will be sent monthly through March. STEM mentors will receive email alerts with details about upcoming planning sessions and information from the event organizer as the event nears.
